Description/Summary

Shinigami, the god of good-doers owns a book named ‘Death Book (Note)’. Death Note is not an ordinary book and it has a unique power to kill human begins, especially evil doers. Whomever’s name will be written on this book, she/he will die. On his way to home, Light Yagami discovers this unique book and opens it scarily. It contains the whole info about its owner and carries the direction how to use it. After reading about the powers of this book, Light Yagami decides to use it as a weapon to kill evil doers, monsters and also decides to turn the world into his dream world full of peace and love. Finally, he starts killing the crooks and begins his journey to build his ideal world. But the unusual amount of the deaths of criminals let the government to ponder over the issue when it’s clear that a single person is behind the deaths, but who will find the murderer?? So, Mr. L is hired to reveal the secret. This was the beginning to a battle between ideals and baddies and winner would be the ruler of the world.

Death Note was premiered on 10-4-2006 and the opening episode from season was entitled ‘Rebirth’. Death Note is a very unique series and I never watched this kinda plot on TV before. Series begins with Light Yagami who seems bored from his general life. On the other hand, Ryuk, shinigami is also bored from his life so he drops his book ‘Death Note’ on earth. Yagami finds out this book and discovers the powers which this unique book contains. So, this was the commencement of Yagami’s journey to make his ideal world by killing the criminals and evil doers. Various plot developments this season were- Light is being followed by someone and Ryuk informs him about that; Light creates a complex plan involving the Death Note. During the first few episodes from series, Light learns deeply the powers of Death Note and also what having Death Not means. Season finale ‘Matsuda’ was aired on 2-21-2007. Season packs up the things when Matsuda makes Kira investigation very much difficult for the Task Force. He also makes another mess to clean up after being captured. 19 episodes were aired during the first season of series.

Along with the commencement of this season, task force is divided into two groups: one who wants to stop the killings by arresting the 7 members and one who are ready to wait to discover who Kira is. Later on this season, L sets his sights on Misa to use her as a way to get closer to Yotsuba Corporation. With the help from Misa, Task Force is aware about the identity of Kira meanwhile Light unknowingly recollects his memories as Kira. Mello is eager to take the book so Light is forced to take an action against her own sister. US president decides to accept Kira and Light takes some precautions regarding the Death Note from Mikami and Takada. Season packs up the stuff on 6-27-2007 with the episode entitled ‘New World’. An intellectual battle between Light and Near would decide the future of everything.
