‘Arrested Development’, a popular Fox Network series, throws light on the everyday activities of the, the dysfunctional and formerly rich Bluth family. Heading the family is George Bluth Sr., the ex-CEO and founder of the Bluth Company, who was convicted for deceiving his investors and sent to jail. Lucille, his wife, took over as the CEO and Buster, the youngest son is named as the President of the company. As he fails to carry out his responsibilities so Michael Bluth, the middle son is called to run the company. The show deals with the characters as they try to change their identities, while handling ever changing relationships.
Filmed in a pseudo-documentary format, incorporating hand-held camera work, narration, archival photos, and historical footage, the series won 6 Emmy Awards, One Golden Globe beside tons of critical acclaim. Even a spot on Time Magazine's 100 Greatest Shows of All Time could not win it high ratings. Arrested Development is over after airing the three successful seasons.
